Hand blown glass match striker with distinct coloring and bubbling. Made in Dallas, Texas, each one is unique and may have slight variations. “Bullicante,” translating to boiling, technique features a controlled repeating pattern of air bubbles in glass blowing. This technique, while still in wide use, was especially popular with Murano glass artists during the 1950’s. Store strike-anywhere matches in the opening, and ignite them on the bottom of the base.
